Golf Rules and Etiquette have evolved and changed through the years. Today's list of written and unwritten rules is very long and still undergoes changes from time to time. The body which has the task of compiling, amending and introducing new rules in the UK is The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. Follow the link to visit their home page and read the last edition of their internationally recognised rulebook.
AVOID SLOW PLAY – Print your on course stroke record sheet in myGolfscorer for FULL DETAIL records. Enter your strokes taken for each hole after or during each hole whilst others are playing.
Always be aware that you must NEVER HOLD UP PLAY to write your scores down.
Use the waiting time in your round to note down your shots, waiting on the tee for your turn, or after your turn to play. If you are waiting for the group in front to clear the green then note down your shots so far on this hole to save time later. Golfers get irritated by slow play, quite right, you don’t need to slow up play to record your golf shots, do it while you are waiting!
